Who can drive a minibus?

If you are not driving for hire or reward, then you might be able to drive a minibus using your car licence.    


So to give you an example: 

You’re a  21 year old teacher who passed their car driving test when you were 19. You want to take some of the students to a football match and driving is not part of your written job description. As long as the minibus is of the correct weight (3.5 tonnes) then you can legally drive it.
